The qualifier exam for CM101 is for people who have a good deal of computer experience and would rather not take CM 101. The exam reflects the learning, skills, and knowledge from CM 101.
Specifics of the exam:
- The exam consists of terminology matching (about 70 technology terms) and a performance part with exercises in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- The exam can be taken only once.
- There is no charge to take the exam.
- To pass, students must score a 75% or better overall.
- There is no college credit given for exam.
- The total time limit for the exam is 3 hours.
- The written part can be taken at any time. The computer part will need to be taken when Deay Lab is open. schedule here
- Successful completion will satisfy the prerequisite for ED 300.
