CM 101 Qualifier Exam

The qualifier exam for CM101 is for people who have a good deal of computer experience and would rather not take CM 101. The exam reflects the learning, skills, and knowledge from CM 101.

Specifics of the exam:
  • The exam consists of terminology matching (about 70 technology terms) and a performance part with exercises in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • The exam can be taken only once.
  • There is no charge to take the exam.
  • To pass, students must score a 75% or better overall.
  • There is no college credit given for exam.
  • The total time limit for the exam is 3 hours.
  • The written part can be taken at any time. The computer part will need to be taken when Deay Lab is open. schedule here
  • Successful completion will satisfy the prerequisite for ED 300.
