I had recognized Securus Technologies Incorporation to be one of the major businesses in the United States to provide technological solutions to correctional facilities and prisons. I even discovered in an online article that the company had attained certification from the BBB with a prestigious rating of ‘A+’. Therefore, I held Securus’ services to be of a high esteem. When I read an online press release on the 7th of June, 2016, I was startled by the latest information I had read from Global Tel Link. In this article, GTL made some claims against Securus which contradicted with their good image. Thankfully on the 9th of June, 2016, I found a new press release published through PRNewswire on behalf of Securus Technologies. This online publication restored my trust on Securus as it had presented several valid facts against GTL’s previous allegations. My regard for Securus was strengthened to an even greater extent as the company had lived up to its BBB accreditation standard.
Information on a situation regarding a patent dispute was first published by GTL but the information published soon appeared to be misleading after I had inspected the latest article from Securus that presented us readers with a more vivid and genuine description of the current situation. Whilst many of the allegations appeared to be indicating that the case would be in favor of GTL, the situation was quite the opposite in reality. Securus also explained that all the past patent disputes which it had initiated against its competitors were valid because the company did perceive their patents to be used without licenses. I found the allegations made earlier about the company’s previous legal disputes to be quite irrelevant to be mentioned by GTL in their article but I was impressed by Securus’ response.
